Bmus LRAM ALCM – soprano

Born in London, Emma Gardner studied at the Royal Academy of Music, with Joy Mammen and Geoffrey Pratley, and now also with Helen Crayford and David Barrell.

She has worked for Le Festival d'Aix en Provence, the Spoletto Festival, Italy, Frankfurt Opera, Valencia Symphony Orchestra, Baden Baden Festival and the Deutsches Symphonie Orchestra Berlin, working with conductors including Daniel Harding, Richard Hickox and Kent Nagano, and directors including Keith Warner, Sir Peter Brooke and Nikolaus Lehnhoff. Operas include Britten's The Turn of the Screw and Peter Grimes, Lulu (Berg), Hansel und Gretel ( Humperdink), Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail and Don Giovanni, Parsifal (Wagner) and Der Rosenkavelier (Strauss).

Oratorio works include Messiah (Handel), C Minor Mass, Requiem (Mozart), B Minor Mass, St. Johns Passion (Bach) and The creation, The Seasons (Haydn).

DVD and Television work includes the Lehnhoff/Negano/Baden Baden Festival Production of Wagner's Parsifal with Waltraud Meier, Thomas Hampson and Christopher Ventris, and work for the BBC on 'Lesley Garrett Tonight!' singing with Bryn Terfel, Rene Fleming and Ramon Vargas.
