Specialist services: 'It's no joke' project

Homophobic crime is no joke

The ‘It’s No Joke’ project is a free, confidential service specifically designed to support victims and witnesses of homophobic and transphobic hate crime across Wales.

Victim Support is a national charity with specially trained volunteers supporting victims and witnesses. We work in partnership with Stonewall Cymru, the national charity helping lesbian, gay and bisexual people to live free from discrimination or abuse.

Homophobic or transphobic hate crime is any incident where the victim is targeted because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Hate crimes like this can result in stronger punishments if an offender is taken to court.

Our services are delivered with respect, empathy and 'genuineness' to ensure that you are completely comfortable and supported.

If you have been affected by crime in Wales you can call us now on 08456 121 900 or via email at cymru@victimsupport.org.uk

We also welcome calls from type talk users on this number: 18001 08456 121 900.
