Mind
Mind is the leading mental health charity for England and Wales. They campaign to create a society that promotes and protects mental health for all and where people with experience of mental distress are treated fairly, positively and with respect.
A key part of their work is delivered through a network of 170 local Mind groups. These local groups are independent charities responsible for their own funding and services, however their affiliation to Mind ensures that they meet Mind’s quality standards of governance and service delivery.
Kings College London, the Institute of Psychiatry
The Institute of Psychiatry (IoP) is Europe’s largest centre for research and post-graduate education in psychiatry, psychology, basic and clinical neuroscience. World renowned for the quality of their research, for psychiatry and psychology, they are the most cited research centre outside the US, and the second most cited in the world as ranked by Thomson ISI Essential Science Indicators. The IoP is a School of King’s College London.
St George’s University of London and Kingston University
These two universities have joined forces to create the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences. As one of the leading providers of health and social care education in the UK, the faculty combines the research expertise and resources of a modern university with those of an established medical school.

UCL is among the world's top universities. It was ranked fourth in the world's top ten universities by the QS World University Rankings in 2010 and has more than 4,000 academic and research staff dedicated to research and teaching of the highest standards.
The Big Lottery Fund
The Big Lottery Fund (BIG) is the largest distributor of Lottery money to good causes and is funding the Mental Health and Justice Research Project.
Since June 2004, BIG has awarded over £3.6bn to projects supporting health, education, environment and charitable purposes in the UK. Most funding is awarded to voluntary and community sector organisations.
