National helpline opens over festive period for crime victims

Victim Support's national helpline, the Supportline, will be open over the festive period. Our dedicated staff and volunteers will be there to help victims and witnesses of crime, giving them the help and support they need, whether or not it has been reported to the police and regardless of when it happened.

Victim Support today expressed its disappointment at the announced closure of a number of magistrates’ courts across England and Wales. But the national charity also welcomed the government’s commitment to improving and modernising the courts that will remain open, to make sure victims and witnesses are given the best possible facilities at court.
