We've been made aware of a scam which is using the Victim Support name to ask for money from people and organisations.

People have been contacted by a group claiming to be the ‘Crime Prevention Unit’, a voluntary group asking for money.  In some cases they are claiming that the money will go to Victim Support - this is not the case.

They are asking companies and organisations to pay for advertising space, or asking individuals for specific information on their home security.

We do not believe that this is a legitimate organisation or that the 'Crime Prevention Year Book' is a legitimate publication. Victim Support does not benefit from the money that you are asked to donate.
